The students produce their short film from start to finish and present them on the big screen and have a red carpet event complete with film festival awards ceremony.
With the help of the instructors, the small groups “crew up” and assign roles. Each group selects a director, cinematographer, editor, production designer, editors, actors etc. and they begin to prepare their film.
The director rehearses with the actors, and speaks with the designers etc. Cinematographer prepares with the Sound Mixer and their mentors to prepare to shoot the movie.
After props, wardrobe, and makeup are selected, the students discuss location set design elements.
The long awaited shooting day in the studio has arrived!
The student editors work with their editing mentors to finish the films. The other students have a breakout session to talk about what they learned and what other positions they would be interested in exploring in the future.
Students walk the red carpet and have the students pictures taken on it before we screen their films on the big screen. After we watch the movies in a rented theater, the students have an awards ceremony and give out awards for best film, best director, best actor, etc.
Now, fortunate and fame…
